It started with a Nana Bear.Before Baro ever met Kyouka, he had a love for creating and giving away his creations. The Toymaker, ever willing to put a smile on someone's face. Then he stumbled into a Raen bard, almost quite literally, when he crashed an impromptu open-invitation house party.They became best friends quickly. One day while he was in Ul'dah handing out toys, Kyouka offered to play music to help draw people in to get one of his Nana Bears. That proved to be very popular. Baro was hired by a local club to do a giveaway as well, and he realized that he could make much, much more than only his bears.They ended up meeting in Limsa one Sunday evening and decided to have an impromptu giveaway - Baro handing out his bears, Kyouka playing harp. Quite a crowd came, and stayed. The pair came back the next week, then the next... and then, on their birthdays, Baro announced that they were Toymakers' Song, and they were going to be at this rock in Limsa on Sunday nights at eight most weeks, with new gifts to give away.Nana Bears are still special to Baro, and they always will be. But now they also craft or farm other minions, clothes, parasols, barding, and anything else they feel will make people happy.

Toymakers Workshop

"Come back here you little," the Toymaker muttered as he lunged for the purple plush monster again. The chimera had been missing for months, and now it had finally emerged from an unseen crack in the wall. Delighting in the chase, the miqo'te dashed forward and scooped up the toy, barely dodging the snapping fangs. He placed the angry chimera doll into a box and sat a lamp on it, then moved to the hole in the plaster.A collection of missing tools, expensive materials, and gemstones were inside. Another angry growl poured from his lips as he starting digging out the debris, recognizing many of the pieces. Several had made him take long trips when they disappeared, and here they were. He retrieved everything and looked at the pile, noticing the small platinum key in the mix. He pulled it out, frowning curiously, before his eyes widened.Quite some time ago, he had purchased what was supposed to be a storefront in Ishgard, but he hadn't had time to establish the boutique. He had locked it and promised himself to come back. When the key went missing, he presumed the Church would move in and claim the location, perhaps converting it into a public building.
